It’s not often that I discover a new painter to worship whilst reading an interior design magazine, but that’s how I stumbled across the work of Claire Basler.
She lives on the edge of Paris in an old iron-works which she’s turned into an artist’s paradise, full of tastefull minimalist furniture and over-run with art supplies, giant canvases, and hundreds of plants and flowers which she uses as references for her beautiful oil paintings.
I’m not sure which I adore more – her house, or her artwork!
